The Teatro Regio di Parma is a 19th-century horseshoe opera house on Strada Garibaldi, and its big event is Festival Verdi each autumn. In 2026 the festival's Parma production of Verdi's rarely staged Alzira plays on October 1 and 8 at 8 p.m. and October 17 at 6 p.m., with Nabucodonosor also in the program and Aida at the small Teatro Verdi in Busseto.
The Regio's own page for Alzira says "tickets from €10". It does not show the rest of the price grid, and the theater's site refused most of our connections on September 29, 2026, so we cannot print seat-by-seat prices. What we can confirm are the youth discounts, the box office and the tour.

Seats and what we know about prices
The Regio sells stalls (platea), boxes (palchi) and gallery seats. Its show pages list the categories but, on the pages we could load, give only a starting price: Alzira "from €10". The cheapest seats are high up, and the view from a side box can be partial, as in any horseshoe theater. Before paying for a box, ask the box office whether it is a front or back place: in historic boxes the front chairs see far more of the stage.

Note that the under-35 half price applies to the Opera Season, the winter program; the Regio does not state it for Festival Verdi. Open dress rehearsals for the festival cost €10 and are sold at the box office.
Planning the evening
- Before: an aperitivo on nearby Strada Farini. The Regio is a short walk from Piazza Garibaldi.
- The house: the Parma audience, especially in the top gallery known as the loggione, has a reputation for loud verdicts on Verdi singers. Applaud when they do.
- After: book a table in advance; anolini and warm spalla cotta are the Parma dishes to end the night on.
- Dress: the Regio pages we loaded publish no dress code. Smart casual is the safe choice.

The Regio runs 30-minute guided tours of the foyer, the main auditorium and the Ridotto, in Italian and English: €12, €8 for under-30s, over-65s and groups of 20+, €3 for under-18s, free under 6. Its visit page still shows July hours (Tuesday to Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 to 5 p.m.), so confirm autumn times before you go. Details are on our Teatro Regio sight page.
