Cycling Parma

Run by Infomobility, the city's mobility company. Helmets and child seats (to 22 kg) are available; rent three pedal bikes and the fourth is free. Book online to see real-time availability; the fleet is small (six e-bikes, 31 basic adult bikes, ten touring bikes with gears when we checked). Hours: Monday to Friday 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.; weekends and holidays 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 3 to 7 p.m. The entrance is on Piazzale Dalla Chiesa, next to the station, where there is also a TEP bus ticket point.

• Fleet: 200 pedal bikes, 350 e-bikes and 500 e-scooters, all through one app.
• Pedal bikes: €1.20 per 30 minutes; monthly pass €8.99.
• E-bikes and scooters: €1 to unlock plus €0.24 a minute; a return-trip pack of two 30-minute rides €3.99; unlimited 20-minute rides for 24 hours €12.99.
• Rules: age 16 or over, a phone and a payment card. In the historic center you must end rides in marked parking areas; elsewhere inside the ring roads it is free-floating. You photograph the parked bike to close the ride, or pay a penalty.

For a day of riding, the Cicletteria's €12 pedal bike beats share minutes. Share bikes suit short hops, such as station to centro storico. Our getting around Parma page compares bikes with buses.

Emilia-Romagna's tourism board describes a flat, 70 km route in three stages:

1. Parma to Colorno, about 40 km (25 miles): out past the Barilla factory to the Reggia di Colorno.
2. Colorno to Roccabianca, about 19 km (12 miles): via Sissa Trecasali, ending at Roccabianca's 15th-century castle.
3. Roccabianca to Busseto: the final leg to Verdi's town.

Visit Emilia describes Food Museum bike circuits on low-traffic roads, created with the cycling association FIAB:

• From Parma station along the Taro valley to the Pasta and Tomato museums at Collecchio.
• From Parma station via Torrechiara Castle to the Prosciutto Museum at Langhirano, and to the Salame Museum at Felino.
• Through the Boschi di Carrega park to the Wine Museum at Sala Baganza.

One warning: Visit Emilia's page still sends riders to the Parmigiano museum at Soragna, which moved to Fontevivo on June 13, 2026. Check opening days on our Food Museums page before you ride: most open only at weekends.

We found none to recommend. GetYourGuide's Parma page listed 24 activities on September 29, 2026, and none was a bike tour. Rent at the Cicletteria and follow a route, or join a walking food tour for the guided part of your day.
