The province's Musei del Cibo (Food Museums) are small, well-made museums in the places where each food is produced: Parmigiano, Prosciutto, Salame Felino, Pasta, Tomato, Wine, Culatello, the black truffle of Fragno and the porcini of Borgotaro. Tickets are €5 each, and a €15 card covers them all.
Two facts first. Most open only on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., from March 1 to December 8; on weekdays they open only for booked guided visits. And the Parmigiano Reggiano Museum moved from Soragna to a new home at Fontevivo on June 13, 2026, so older guides send you to the wrong town.

Tickets and the €15 card
- Single ticket: €5 full; €4 for over-65s and groups of 15 or more; free under 6.
- Family ticket: €10 for two adults and all their children, valid for one museum, with a free quiz sheet for kids.
- Musei del Cibo Card: €15 for all the Food Museums; the truffle museum's site says it is valid one year. Buy it at any museum or online at biglietti.museidelcibo.it.
- Guided visits: €25 for groups under 12 on top of tickets, booked and paid in advance; €2 per person for 12 to 25.
The card pays for itself at the third €5 museum. Two weekend days can cover four or five.
Which ones to pick
- Culatello is the best stand-alone visit: it opens six days a week and ends in real aging cellars. See our culatello tasting page.
- Prosciutto pairs with a ham house visit and Torrechiara Castle, which shares a reduced-ticket deal at weekends.
- Pasta and Tomato share one site at Collecchio: two museums, one stop.
- Parmigiano at Fontevivo is new; if you have seen cheese made at a dairy on a weekday, skip it.
- Salame at Felino and Wine at Sala Baganza sit in castles in the first hills; combine them with a winery tasting.
The free one in town
The Museo diffuso del Gusto is the network's city branch: 24 stops across central Parma marked by totems with QR codes and free audio in Italian and English. Pick up the map at the IAT office, Strada Garibaldi 18 (daily 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.). Scan more than five stops and you can download a free entry to one of the museums above. Without a car

How much are the Parma Food Museums?
€5 each (€7 for the Culatello Museum), €10 for a family, or €15 for the Musei del Cibo Card covering all of them.
When are the Food Museums open?
Most open Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., from March 1 to December 8, and on weekdays only for booked guided visits. The Culatello Museum opens Tuesday to Sunday, February 1 to December 30.
Where is the Parmigiano Reggiano Museum now?
At Piazza Convento 1, Fontevivo, since June 13, 2026. It is no longer in Soragna.
Are the Food Museums open in winter?
Mostly no. From December 9 to the end of February they open only for booked groups; the Culatello Museum stays open to December 30, opens again January 1 to 6, and reopens February 1, though the estate also lists a closure to February 10, so phone first.
Is there a combined ticket?
Yes, the Musei del Cibo Card at €15 covers all the Food Museums.
