On October 14 the Sina's €150 with breakfast compared with €196 at NH Parma by the station, also with breakfast, and €151 room only at Hotel Stendhal, where breakfast adds €30 for two. Booking.com also showed a slightly cheaper partner offer at €131; read its conditions first.

Sina says the rooms were recently renovated in either classic or modern style, with marble floors and paintings in the public areas. Room categories run from deluxe and premium deluxe to junior suites, a suite and a penthouse. Breakfast is a buffet and can be brought to your room on request, according to Booking.com's listing.

The hotel restaurant, Maxim's, serves Emilian cooking reworked by its chefs, Monday to Saturday from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. It is closed on Sundays, so plan that night elsewhere. L'Aiglon is the hotel bar.

Most visitors will eat out. The Duomo quarter is 8 minutes away, with Angiol d'Or on the cathedral square.

Sina's Parma page mentions a charging station for electric and plug-in hybrid cars but gives no parking price or garage details, and we found no official figure. Ask the hotel before you book if you are driving.

Viale Mentana is not in any ZTL in the city's 2024 ordinance, so you can drive to the door. The nearest public covered car park on Infomobility's list is Parcheggio Dus at Viale Mentana 99/a, about a 6-minute walk; its price is not published on Infomobility's map. That makes it a practical base for a trip that mixes Parma with Modena or Bologna by train, without the station-only feel of the hotels next to the tracks.

Drivers who need a confirmed garage price before booking will find it easier at Starhotels Du Parc, which publishes €15 a day.
