Wine tasting in the Colli di Parma

From the winery's booking page, read September 29, 2026; the page does not say which wines each tasting pours. It adds summer events from June to September, including picnics in the vineyard. Large groups get tailored visits on request.

The winery sits among the first Food Valley stops. A realistic day by car:

1. 9 a.m.: a Parmigiano dairy. Caseificio Montecoppe, about 13 km (8 miles) from the center, sells a 2-hour "complete tour", in Italian, from €35 on the Consortium's booking page, and Monte delle Vigne sells a €45 combination with it.
2. Late morning: the Monte delle Vigne tasting.
3. Afternoon, weekends only: the Wine Museum at Sala Baganza, or the Salame Museum at Felino, both in castles in the same hills. See the Food Museums.

• Malvasia: the aromatic white of these hills, still or lightly sparkling, dry or sweet. The Wine Museum recounts that Garibaldi, visiting Maiatico in April 1861, praised Malvasia di Maiatico above any other nectar and took vines to Caprera.
• Colli di Parma reds: blends and single varieties; Ai Due Platani lists a Rosso Colli di Parma 2022 at €20 a bottle.
• Lambrusco: on every Parma table; the Lambrusco and Malvasia page lists what a trattoria bottle costs.

Every winery here is a drive, and we did not find a public transport option to Ozzano Taro that we could verify. Somebody has to stay sober or you need a driver. None of the 24 GetYourGuide Parma listings we checked on September 29, 2026 was a Colli di Parma winery tour; the nearest was a one-hour wine tasting with Parmigiano and ham in town for €43. The Museo del Vino is in the cellars of the Rocca Sanvitale at Sala Baganza, Piazza Gramsci. It opens Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 6 p.m., from March 1 to December 8; tickets €5, or covered by the €15 Food Museums card. Its site tells the story of Parma wine from Roman kilns in the Taro valley to the 19th-century French growers who planted around Felino, Sala Baganza and Ozzano Taro.
