Enoteca Tabarro

Grower wines by the glass Mon–Fri 5:30 p.m.–1 a.m. Strada Farini 5/b

Enoteca Tabarro is at Strada Farini 5/b, at the top of Strada Farini near Piazza Garibaldi. Dissapore, the Italian food site, credits it with helping to start Parma's scene of alternative wine bars. It was founded by the host Diego Sorba; under the current team it added a small kitchen and, as Dissapore put it, a few Peruvian touches "dictated by matters of the heart".

It opens at 5:30 p.m. on weekdays and stays open until 1 a.m. On Saturday there is also a lunch session. It is closed on Sunday. TripAdvisor reviews from June 2026 confirm it is operating.

What to drink

The by-the-glass list changes constantly and is not published online. Its strength is grower and natural wine, including the new wave of dry, bottle-fermented Lambrusco from small producers. The glass list also takes in beer, cider and sake. The cellar, Dissapore says, is legendary; if you are ordering a bottle, ask what is not on the list.

Prices and pours

There is no price list online. The most recent figure is a June 2026 TripAdvisor review that paid €14 for two glasses of white, about €7 a glass, and complained that the pour was small. Other reviewers mention Champagne at about €80 a bottle. Tabarro is not the cheap option on Strada Farini: Enoteca Fontana down the street pours for a fraction of the price. You are paying for the choice of wine.

Food

Boards of culatello, prosciutto and cheese are the standard order. Reviews also mention horse tartare, the Parma specialty, and oysters. It is an aperitivo with substance rather than a dinner; for a meal nearby, Trattoria del Tribunale is a short walk away.

When to go

Early evening, around 6 p.m., is the time to get a spot and a conversation with the staff about the list. Later, Strada Farini fills and so does Tabarro. It is the natural first stop on the Strada Farini aperitivo walk.
