Cibus

Not as tourists. Cibus is aimed at buyers and producers: "Large Retail, Ho.Re.Ca. and Food Service, Wholesale Importers, Independent Retail and national and international Normal Trade", in the organizer's words. Exhibitors range from big Made in Italy brands to consortia and small DOP, IGP and STG producers, and the point is contracts, not samples. We found no public ticket on the official site. If you do work in food retail, restaurants or import, register as a trade visitor through the Cibus site when registration for 2027 opens.

Cibus Tec 2026 expects more than 1,300 exhibitors and 40,000 professional visitors, according to the organizer's June 2026 press conference, and for the first time entry is free with registration. Those October dates fall two days after the last performance of Festival Verdi on October 25. If you were planning to stretch a Verdi trip into the last week of October, book the hotel now.

Cibus's organizer, Fiere di Parma, also runs Bellavita Expo abroad and co-promotes Tuttofood in Milan, whose next edition it lists for May 8–11, 2028. Neither affects Parma hotels.

We looked for published data on Parma hotel rates during Cibus and found none we would stand behind, so we will not print a percentage. What we can say plainly: a trade fair that brings tens of thousands of professionals into a city of Parma's size competes for the same rooms you want. If your dates are flexible, avoid October 27–30, 2026 and May 4–6, 2027, and check the Fiere di Parma calendar before you book any midweek stay.

If you must come that week, book early and consider staying in the center rather than by the ring road; see where to stay and our hotel shortlist. For a car-free base near the trains, the station area is the practical one.

Fiere di Parma is at Viale delle Esposizioni 393A, north of the center, and the organizer says it is under five minutes from the A1 Parma Centro exit. The Cibus visitor page lists 9,000 parking spaces at €15 a day, a shuttle every 15 minutes between the fair, the railway station and the center during the event (free for exhibitors, buyers and accredited press with a pass), and the Parmalink shuttle to the Reggio Emilia Mediopadana high-speed station. That page still refers to the 2023 edition in places, so confirm the 2027 arrangements when they are published.
